The collective of specialist people businesses. UK-centred, working globally — deliberately quiet, deliberately structural.
AWI is the collective — the businesses in it are owned outright, and AWI itself sells nothing. Its job is to own well: to put the right leadership in place, to provide the infrastructure a specialist business shouldn't have to build twice, and to hold every company in the collective to the same standard of conduct.
That means the brands you deal with — AWI Civitas, AWI Taio, AWI Ingenum and those that follow — stay focused on their own markets and clients. The collective carries the parts that are the same everywhere: finance, compliance, systems, governance and the standards that sit behind all of it.
Every company in the collective is built for one market and judged on it. We don't stretch a brand into sectors it doesn't understand just because the group can reach them.
Compliance, data protection, contracting and how people are treated are set once, across the collective. A client working with two AWI companies should recognise the same standard in both.
Systems, finance, technology and back office are built once for the collective so each business spends its energy on clients and candidates rather than rebuilding the same machinery.
We are headquartered and governed in the United Kingdom, and that is where our standards come from. Delivery isn't bound by it: our companies support clients on international projects, mobilise people across borders, and take on mandates wherever a client needs the same capability abroad.
We back businesses to be built properly rather than flipped. Growth comes from doing the work well enough to be asked back.
The collective is designed to take on new specialist businesses — founded inside it or brought in — without disturbing the ones already running.
Clients and partners usually deal with one of our companies directly. If you'd rather start with AWI, or you're not sure who you need, come to us first.
